Our Veterinary Technicians/ Assistants

The duties of veterinary technicians encompass everything from assisting the veterinarians in surgery to minor booster vaccination appointments. Like nurses in human medicine, technicians are an instrumental part of the veterinary team. Our technicians provide nursing care to our patients, as well as handle minor appointments, fill prescriptions and medications, and advise clients on their patients. Under veterinary direction, they are also responsible for taking radiographs, drawing blood, and handling pre-exams for appointments.
